Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a SIM card for the camera?
No. Builder.Cam cameras include an integrated SIM with data included in your subscription. You don't need to buy, configure, or manage any SIM card. Just plug in power and the camera connects automatically.
What cellular networks does it use?
Our cameras use multi-carrier SIMs that connect to the best available network in your location. In Nordic countries, this typically means access to all major carriers for best coverage.
What if cellular coverage is weak at my site?
Most construction sites have adequate cellular coverage. For sites with weaker signal, the camera includes an external antenna option that can improve reception. Very remote sites without cellular coverage would need alternative solutions.
Is WiFi an option if I prefer it?
Builder.Cam focuses on cellular connectivity for reliability—it works the same on every site without configuration. We don't offer WiFi-only cameras because site networks are often unreliable, change during construction, and require IT involvement.
How much data do cameras use?
Data usage depends on photo resolution and frequency. Typical usage is a few GB per month. This is included in your subscription—you don't pay for data separately or worry about limits.
